Jihlavan currently delivers components to a number of domestic and international aircraft companies. Historically, it participated in producing aircraft that were developed in Czechoslovakia by companies such as Aero Vodochody and Let Kunovice. A new chapter in the company and its further development has opened by projects for Airbus, one of the two major aircraft manufacturers in the world.
Airbus A400M is a military transport aircraft, developed by the Airbus Military company. Â It is the first Airbus developed specifically for military purposes.Â
France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg and Turkey placed orders for these aircraft. Several aircraft have already been delivered to Chile, Malaysia and South Africa. The first deliveries were made in 2009.
Airbus A400M should phase out C-130 Hercules and C-160 Transall aircraft in these countries, and thus increase both transport capacity and flight ranges.
Deliveries of 4 devices for the A400M are a part of a build-to-print project for the CESA AERO company
This was one of the pilot projects for the CESA Aero company for BTP supplies for the Airbus supply chain and represents a significant step in fulfilling our long-term business strategy. With respect to the military nature of the project, the technical demands on the devices are very high in relation to the technical properties and testing conditions. Deliveries vary from 10 to 25 aircraft per year.
